Les Amis du Cinéma du réel

The association Les Amis du Cinéma du Réel was created in 1984 to co-organise Cinéma du Réel in partnership with the Bpi.

The association is made up of honorary members, founding members, ex officio members, French
and international correspondent members, and active members. Its members include over a hundred professionals working in documentary filmmaking who are invited to join the association by co-option.

Every year, one third of the Board of Directors is renewed. The Board is composed of two groups:

• Group A includes representatives of ex officio members, i.e., organisations providing “significant and long-term support” to the association.
• Group B includes representatives of active members, i.e., co-opted members having paid their annual dues.

In 2024, membership dues for legal entities stand at €150, giving access to a group pass; individual membership dues stand at €30, giving access to a single-user pass.
