Sylvestre Meinzer

Sylvestre Meinzer is an anthropologist, photographer and film director. After working in costume and scenography, she joined the Mission du Patrimoine Ethnographique and the CNRS in Ivry. Since her education at Ateliers Varan and École des Gobelins, she has worked in documentary film and fine art photography. She exhibits her work in museums and art centers (“Lilith” at the Musée du Grand Palais, “Au service des nuages”; at the Musée d’art moderne André Malraux in Le Havre, “Douves célestes” at the LAAC in Dunkirk), on television (“Pour un panier de truffes” on Arte), in movie theaters (“Les voies jaunes” and “Mémoires d’un condamné”) and at festivals…
She runs artistic workshops with disadvantaged audiences (pediatric, elderly, penal and scolar institutions) as part of the “Les Impatients” association she created.
