La Mosson, suburb of Montpellier, spring 2024. A Traveller wedding is about to take place.
In the bedroom of a small apartment, Luisa and her female cousins gather to talk about their dreams, their traditions and their desire for emancipation. For Luisa, flamenco has become a ritual and a place of freedom.
Marthe Perret
After studying at the Sorbonne in Paris, where she made a film in partnership with Arte and Gallimard, Marthe Perret went on to study film at the Royal Academy of Fine Art (KASK) in Ghent. She lives and works in Brussels, working with other filmmakers on documentary projects as an editor and cameraman. She is also working on a musical project. Her writing is based on encounters between characters, spaces, identity and intimacy.
