FIRST WINDOW AUDIENCE AWARD 2025 – MENTION

Flora and Louise met in Yaoundé, Cameroon, over six years ago. They fell in love and, although they are no longer together, they have never left each other’s side. Throwing open the doors of the organisation that shelters them, I uncovered the story behind their refugee
status and the reasons for their exile.

Clara Jeany

Clara Jeany was born in 1999 and holds a master’s degree in gender studies and francophone literature. In 2024, she made her first film as part of the Master Empreintes du Réel at the Université de Picardie – Jules Verne. Her work focuses on issues of exile and sexuality.
