Call for entry for the 49th edition of Cinéma du réel
The call for entry for the 49th edition of Cinéma du réel will open on 1st September, 2026.
PLEASE BE AWARE:
- Films submitted must have been completed after 14 January, 2026.
- Only films never screened in France (French premieres) are eligible for the Onternational Selection, that is films that have never been screened publicly in France, bradcast on French television or broadcast on the internet on websites accessible from France.
- Only French films never screened anywhere (World premieres) are eligible for the French selection, that is films never screened publicly, broadcast on television or broadcast on the internet anywhere in the world.
- The call for entry will be closed after 1800 films have been received and on 1st November, 2026 at the latest.
HERE ARE THE DEADLINES:
- For all films: Online submission duly completed and viewing material to be sent by 1st November, 2026.
- Derogation for films still under completion on 1st November, 2026 : Online submission duly completed by 1st November, 2026 and viewing material to be sent by 9 November, 2026.
ENTRY FEES:
- From 1st September to 15 September, the entry fee is 15€ for short films (up to 59 min) and 25€ for feature films,
- From 16 September to 15 October, the entry fee is 25€ for all films,
- From 16 October to 1st November, the entry fee is 50€ for all films.
