Sylvie Ballyot

Sylvie Ballyot, filmmaker and video artist, explores different forms of cinema – film diaries, experimental films, documentaries, fictions -, where she questions the boundary between the intimate and the collective. His films have been selected and awarded in several festivals including the Directors’ Fortnight, Documenta Madrid, Clermont-Ferrand, Cinemed Montpellier, Nyon, Lussas, Sao Paulo, Rome, Créteil, Pantin, Brive… Among his works: Alice, Tel Père telle fille, Moi tout seul, Love and Words, Tu crois qu’on peut parler d’autre chose que d’amour ? (co-directed).  His latest film Green Line on the Lebanese war received the Mubi Prize and the Young Jury Prize at the Locarno festival, the grand prize of the Ismailia festival in Egypt, and the Atlas Distribution prize at the Marrakech festival.
