Sonia At Qasi-Kessi

Director and photographer, Sonia At Qasi-Kessi lives and works in Bouzeguène, a town in Haute-Kabylie. She photographs pastoral activities, the peaceful and rough life of women and their daily tasks, which are also hers. Far from folkloric stagings and ethnicist representations, his black and white photos bear witness to his natural environment and current life in Kabylie. In 2019, she directed Nnuba, as part of the documentary film creation workshop organized by the Collectif Cinéma et Mémoire and Kaïna Cinéma, directed by Habiba Djahnine.
