A former “strongman” (a power force athlete) from Finland, now working as an actor, has transformed his basement into a home cinema. In order to land the roles he wants, he trains intensively and stops at nothing to prove his commitment to fulfilling what the filmmakers expect of him.

Olivier Zabat, born in 1965 is a graduate of the Fine Arts. He conducts independent and innovative artistic and filmic research. His documentaries have been shown in international art centers, at the FID Marseille and in avant-garde sections of festivals such as the Venice Film Festival, BAFICI in Buenos Aires and the Rome Festival. They are also broadcast on the Arte channel, La Lucarne program. His latest film Arguments had its Premiere at the Locarno Festival in 2019. In 2020, it was programmed at the prestigious Doc Fortnight at MoMA in New York and won the Mario Ruspoli Prize at the Jean Rouch International Festival. Olivier Zabat lives in Paris and has been teaching film and video at the Fine Arts in Lyon since 2006.
