How to make a first film in 2021?
partnered by Périphérie
Becoming a filmmaker in times of crisis: when systems are destabilised, how can you take your first steps as a young filmmaker? How can you bring your project to life?
From making films through to screening them, a whole raft of different initiatives for making and financing your films can be found off the beaten track. Drawing on accounts of what professionals (directors, producers, exhibitors, collectives, production and writing workshops) have experienced, we will be analysing the diversity of current possibilities and why not imagine tomorrow’s opportunities to support young filmmakers in inventing new ways of doing things.
