SATURDAY, MARCH 31st PROGRAMME:

Arrested cinema: a programme dedicated to Syrian filmmakers.
Saturay, March 31^st – 9.00 pm, Cinéma 2

This year again numerous directors, documentarists, artists or ordinary demonstrators armed with cell phones have tried to film the political upheavals in their countries. With its new Arrested Cinema section, the festival aims to create a space each year for images by these experienced or anonymous filmmakers, and give regular news updates on a cinema confined to resistance. This first edition of Arrested Cinema is specially dedicated to Syria. The director Hala Alabdalla will talk about the tragic situation in Syria and screen two short films in presence of Oussama Mohammed.

Nidal Hassan will also present True Stories on Love, Death and Revolution (a production CPH:DOX).
