Editorial

Since 1978, the Cinéma du Réel international documentary film festival has been an outstanding international meeting point, where the public and professionals discover the films of experienced authors as well as new talents, the history of documentary cinema as well as contemporary works. The festival programs some two hundred films for its various sections, screened at the Centre Pompidou, the Centre Wallonie-Bruxelles, the MK2 Beaubourg film theatre and several other theatres in the Ile-de- France area.

"Palazzo delle Aquile" - International Festival
Stefano Savona, Alessia Porto and Ester Sparatore's film "Palazzo delle Aquile", International Competition and Grand Prize Cinéma du Réel 2011 will be screened at Rencontres Cinéma de Manosque on february 11th 2012 at Théâtre Jean le Bleu.
It was selected at L'Alternativa, Festival de Cinema Independent de Barcelona, Spain, November 2011, at Anuu ru aboro Film Festival, New Caledonia, France, October 2011 and at the Viennale, Vienna, Austria, October - November 2011.
It was programmed at the Etats généraux du film documentaire, Lussas, France, August 2011 and Indielisboa, Lisbon, Portugal, may 2011 where it received the World Pulse RTP Award.
"Acqua in bocca" - International festivals
Pascale Thirode's film "Acqua in Bocca", section French Panorama Cinéma du Réel 2010, was theatrically released in France on june 8th 2011.
It was programmed at the Rencontres documentaires de Doc'Ouest de Pléneuf-Val-André in september 2011 and it was the opening film of Mois du Film Documentaire in Besançon in november 2011.
