Atelier de sonorisation de films muets

Since the fall of 2009, 4 primary school classes from Massy near Paris work on musical and sound creations to accompany avant garde documentary silent films.
Beside the exitement of discovering silent films and documentary cinema, this transversal workshop is also a new way of approaching history, math (rythm) and language.

Workshop coordinated by Armell Bigot, music teacher.

The result of this project will be shown during the festival.

Hans Richter 6' - Allemagne 1928 Scenes of grotesque humour in which objects (hats, ties, coffee cups…) rebel against daily routine.

La Marche des machines

Eugène Deslaw 9' - France, Russie 1929 The mechanical ballet of machines in the metallic industrial architecture of the early 20th century.
