Exploring Documentary: A Practical History of Visual Pamphlet

Whether it involves fiction, documentary, the essay, poetry or song, whether it stems from a work of critical retrospection or springs out of the urgent need for counterinformation, whether its vehemence is lyrical or enraged, the visual pamphlet has some basics features: it refutes other images; it invents its own logic for its arguments, in such a way that it appears as an essential locus for experiencing the powerfulness of the image; and it seeks the means to articulate representation and action.
